There were people swimming - swimming! - in the lake off of Pratt Beach today. The Chicago Police Department, the Coast Guard and the Chicago Park District were not called in to rescue the swimmers, who were seen bobbing around in chilly Lake Michigan water this afternoon.
Nobody seemed alarmed by the sight of people in the water.
