are you a structural engineer now? you do know that this kind of thing is engineered to still be structurally sound after a certain amount of the inevitable decay, right? just because you see a few flaws in the structure is not the same as it being unsound.
btw, murals are not paid for by cta. they come out of voluntary tax funds specifically purposed to support the area as an arts district. you know, economic development. community improvements. good things.

As for supporting "the area as an arts district," how did paying $11,000 of those "voluntary tax funds" to artists who live in Hyde Park/Bronzeville help the local economic development? Please explain, and remember to capitalize. AP Style or Chicago Manual of Style are welcome.
