Justice Keeps its Pants On

Thank goodness for Judith Bartnoff, a District of Columbia Superior Court Judge with common sense. Judge Bartnoff struck down one of the most ridiculous lawsuits to come around since that old lady burned her crotch with a cup of McDonald's coffee. The future looks a bit brighter. WASHINGTON - A judge ruled Monday that no pair of pants is worth $54 million, rejecting a lawsuit that took a dry cleaner's promise of "Satisfaction Guaranteed" to its most litigious extreme.     The suing judge should be sentenced to stand, pantless, in a stockade on the National Mall in DC.
