49th Ward Zoning Meeting Dates

The 49th Ward Zoning and Land Use Advisory Committee will hold two meetings in the coming weeks. According to the News-Star today: A zoning meeting on the 24-unit condominium building at 2001 W. Howard will be at 7 p.m. June 6 at Pottawattomie Park Fieldhouse, 7340 N. Rogers. The current zoning would permit the construction of 13 dwelling units. The owner is requesting a zoning change to B1-3, which would allow him to construct up to 32 dwelling units. His proposal calls for only 24 dwelling units. A zoning meeting will be held at 7 p.m. June 11 at Island Grove Cafe, 7644 N. Sheridan Ave., the former Biddy Mulligan's site. This is a follow-up to a community meeting held one year ago to discuss a proposed tavern and music venue at the former Biddy Mulligan's site.
