Global Warming Chills Nation!

Big weather-related headlines from the Drudge Report today (see below). I'm in Chicago. It is the day before Easter Sunday, and I've been watching it snow off and on all day. It's cold outside. It is cold over much of the country. The Masters Golf Tournament is being played in Georgia today, and it is the coldest Masters in 70 years. Today it snowed in Washington, DC. It rarely snows in D.C. during the winter. We are well into spring. It's cold. It is colder than normal. But of course, the Consensus Scientists will tell that the reason for all of this cold is Global Warming. The warmer the planet gets, you see, the colder some parts will get. Does this make sense to you? 30-some years ago, the Consensus Scientists were telling us that a new ice age was about to freeze the planet. Let's do an intellectual excercise, in which we pretend that those scientists still insisted on an imminent ice age. Would you believe them if they told you that summers were hotter than normal because of Global Cooling, because the cooler it gets the more unstable things get and therefore uneven weather patterns will occur? Wouldn't that sound just a bit crazy? Well, yes. Would Al Gore be running around telling us all to increase our use of fossil fuels, so that an increase in greenhouse gases might hold off the glaciers? Well, would he?
