Well well, seems "Climategate" may have been an inside job by a disgruntled employee, if you will. Perhaps the falsification of climate data finally sickened the insider enough that he/she just couldn't sleep well at night any longer. This shocking revelation is reported in a November 30 article at the Washington Examiner. The article starts by reminding us that "reams of information were posted on a Russian server detailing the inner workings" of climate researchers, and that the information shows that those researchers have been fudging data to make it conform to their political agenda. For over a week and a half, it was thought that a Russian hacker gained access to e-mails but now, it turns out, it was a whistleblower from within:
"The information included e-mails, computer codes, annotations to code and the like," writes Chris Horner for the Examiner. He notes that many of the documents were communiques "responding to a long-frustrated series of requests under the United Kingdom's freedom of information law."
Horner's bombshell comes in this sentence: "This is only one of numerous factors indicating that the disclosures were not the work of a 'hacker,' as the media parrot without evidence, but a whistleblower on the inside." Full Article here...

Drama! Action! Suspense! Peraica! The Cook County Board of Commissioners voted to roll back the "Stroger Sales Tax," but Pres. Todd Stroger vetoed that vote. Tomorrow, Dec. 1, the Board will try to override that veto. You can follow the action as Commissioner Tony Peraica sends out live tweets from the session in real time.
Sez Tony on his Twitter page today: "Log on tomorrow at 10 AM for LIVE coverage of the Stroger Sales Tax veto override vote. I will tweet live as history is made." He's opitimistic, too. In another tweet today he wrote, "So far, it appears that 12 commissioners are holding FIRM to override Stroger veto." That's hopeful, since 11 votes are required to override.

The Loyola College Republicans and Loyola College Democrats are co-hosting a candidate forum featuring candidates for Illinois State Senate's District 7, to be held on Wednesday, December 2 from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. at Finnegan Auditorium (Damen Hall, 6430 N. Kenmore Avenue) on the Loyola campus in Rogers Park.

Uh oh, seems I've started trouble between two titans of the Illinois blogosphere. They've both weighed in on Republican candidate for Illinois governor Adam Andrzejewski's plan to "open up the books" in Springfield and conduct a "forensic audit of the state's expenses." Those titans are David Ormsby, a public relations consultant and editor of Illinois Observer, and conservative activist John Bambenek, and the battlefield is Chicago News Bench. Bambenek, a resident of Champaign, is currently not running for Congress in the Illinois 22 District. He notes, "IL-22 isn't a real congress seat except @ recovery.gov. I'm offended you thought I'd actually run for Congress." The man has a sense of humor. He's also the author of the "Bambenek Putback Amendment" to the Illinois state constitution. In a Nov. 19 post here, we wrote that Andrzejewski cited a Channel 7 report about state employees using state owned airplanes "regularly at a cost of $3,000 per hour totaling $4 million per year." Andrzejewski said that "real reform can only be the result of new people with new ideas in Springfield." That didn't sit well with David Ormsby, who lobbed a grenade at Andrzejewski. Ormsby wrote this in a comment to Chicago News Bench on Nov. 23 (emphasis added):
"As laudable as Adam Andrzejewksi's 'forensics audit' proposal is on its face, it is important to note that each state agency, board, commission, university, etc. have been and continue to be audited--both with program and finance audits--every two years by the Illinois Auditor General. The incumbent, Republican William Holland [the Illinois Auditor General] , is respected by both sides of the aisle. Holland, whose audits helped undo Rod Blagojevich, would have found 'billions' of dollars lying around in the state sofa cushions had it actually existed. Lack of audits is not what ails the Illinois budget. A 11% unemployment rate and the loss of income tax revenue is the culprit. An audit is unnecessary to tell you that. Ask a voter."
Before we get to John Bambenek's fiery retort to Ormsby's, let me say that I didn't agree with Ormsby's comment, but he's a rational guy and a gentleman, and so I wanted to give his comment some exposure. In reflection, however, I'd say that he misses crucial points. He wrote that Holland "would have found 'billions' of dollars lying around in the state sofa cushions had it actually existed," then went on to say that "Lack of audits is not what ails the Illinois budget." Well, no, a lack of audits is not the only problem, but in fact there are hundreds of millions of dollars lying around in the "state sofa" that are yet to be accounted for, much of it lost through waste, shuffling, and outright hiding. If not a thorough audit, how to find those funds? Furthermore, Holland and others did allow - are allowing - the wasteful airplanes-for-VIPs program, the one Andrzejewski noted, to continue unfettered.Image: Adam Andrzejewski (left) with John Bambenek (right). In response to Ormsby's comment, John Bambenek wrote the following on Nov. 23:
David Ormsby, longtime supporter of Democratic candidates who have broken this state, clearly doesn't understand the difference between an audit and a forensic audit. Yes, the states books are audited. Yet, no one can tell us what the budget deficit really is. Or more accurately, everyone has a different answer.
An audit merely tracks where the money came in and where the money went out. A forensic audit gets into the "why". We know our finances are broken, a forensic audit figures out what happened and how to fix it (and who to put up on public corruption charges, if needed). In Texas, saved $8B annually. In Kansas, it saved $1B. This works!
And William Holland is a great auditor but his authority is subject to the state legislature. The legislature tasks him with other efforts but he has no independent authority. When the legislature tasked him to find all the state programs he could not do so because many state agencies simply ignored him.
Decades of off-books spending by both parties is why we are a high tax burden state, that's why businesses leave. Heck, even Oprah is fed up.
The forensic audit lets us finally get to the heart of the corruption that drives businesses away, that drives taxes up. If you want to do business with the state, get a permit, etc, you need to grease the right palms here. That's why businesses are happy to set up in Indiana.
Is it a cure all? No, it's a tool to move us forward because until we can control the budget and end the corruption we can't move forward.

We try to avoid snarkiness at CNB. Ormsby sent a DM to me on Twitter, too: "I keep one eye--sometimes both--on CNB too." That's good: You never know when we might let slip with something snarky.

The following letter is rapidly circulating around the country and, like thousands of other folks, I received a copy. Let's give it some more traction. The friend who sent a copy to me added, "Americans everywhere identify with this 53-year-old woman. She has given us a voice. Once you read this, you will want to forward it to all of your friends. Let's see how many people cut this woman down for saying exactly what most of us want to yell into the ears of every representative and senator in Washington. This letter is not a slam at the Democrats, it is a slam at the Democrat AND Republican politicians who are screwing up our country."
Here is the woman's open, unedited letter to our nation's leadership:
"I'm a home grown American citizen, 53, registered Democrat all my life. Before the last presidential election I registered as a Republican because I no longer felt the Democratic Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. Now I no longer feel the Republican Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. The fact is I no longer feel any political party or representative in Washington represents my views or works to pursue the issues important to me. There must be someone. Please tell me who you are. Please stand up and tell me that you are there and that you're willing to fight for our Constitution as it was written. Please stand up now. You might ask yourself what my views and issues a re that I would horribly feel so disenfranchised by both major political parties. What kind of nut job am I? Will you please tell me?
Well, these are briefly my views and issues for which I seek representation:
One, Illegal Immigration: I want you to stop coddling illegal immigrants and secure our borders. Close the underground tunnels. Stop the violence and the trafficking in drugs and people. No amnesty, not again. Been there, done that, no resolution. P.S., I'm not a racist. This isn't to be confused with legal immigration.
Two, The Stimulus Bill: I want it repealed and I want no further funding supplied to it. We told you no, but you did it anyway. I want the remaining unfunded 95% repealed. Freeze, repeal.
Three, Czars: I want the circumvention of our checks and balances stopped immediately. Fire the czars. No more czars. Government officials answer to the process, not to the president. Stop trampling on our Constitution and honor it.
Four, Cap and Trade: The debate on global warming is not over. There is more to say.
Five, Universal Healthcare: I will not be rushed into another expensive decision. Don't you dare try to pass this in the middle of the night and then go on break. Slow down!
Six, Growing Government Control: I want states rights and sovereignty fully restored. I want less government in my life, not more. Shrink it down. Mind your own business. You have enough to take care of with your real obligations. Why don't you start there.
Seven, ACORN: I do not want ACORN and its affiliates in charge of our 2010 census. I want them investigated. I also do not want mandatory escrow fees contributed to them every time on every real estate deal that closes. Stop the funding to ACORN and its affiliates pending impartial audits and investigations. I do not trust them with taking the census over with our taxpayer money. I don't trust them with our taxpayer money. Face up to the allegations against them and get it resolved before taxpayers get any more involved with them. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, hello. Stop protecting your political buddies. You work for us, the people. Investigate.
Eight, Redistribution of Wealth: No, no, no. I work for my money. It is mine. I have always worked for people with more money than I have because they gave me jobs. That is the only redistribution of wealth that I will support. I never got a job from a poor person. Why do you want me to hate my employers? Why -- what do you have against shareholders making a profit?
Nine, Charitable Contributions: Although I never got a job from a poor person, I have helped many in need. Charity belongs in our local communities, where we know our needs best and can use our local talent and our local resources. Butt out, please. We want to do it ourselves.
Ten, Corporate Bailouts: Knock it off. Sink or swim like the rest of us. If there are hard times ahead, we'll be better off just getting into it and letting the strong survive. Quick and painful. Have you ever ripped off a Band-Aid? We will pull together. Great things happen in America under great hardship. Give us the chance to innovate. We cannot disappoint you more than you have disappointed us.
Eleven, Transparency and Accountability: How about it? No, really, how about it? Let's have it. Let's say we give the buzzwords a rest and have some straight honest talk. Please try -- please stop manipulating and trying to appease me with clever wording. I am not the idiot you obviously take me for. Stop sneaking around and meeting in back rooms making deals with your friends. It will only be a prelude to your criminal investigation. Stop hiding things from me.
Twelve, Unprecedented Quick Spending: Stop it now.
Take a breath. Listen to the people. Let's just slow down and get some input from some nonpoliticians on the subject. Stop making everything an emergency.. Stop speed reading our bills into law. I am not an activist. I am not a community organizer. Nor am I a terrorist, a militant or a violent person. I am a parent and a grandparent. I work. I'm busy. I'm busy. I am busy, and I am tired. I thought we elected competent people to take care of the business of government so that we could work, raise our families, pay our bills, have a little recreation, complain about taxes, endure our hardships, pursue our personal goals, cut our lawn, wash our cars on the weekends and be responsible contributing members of society and teach our children to be the same all while living in the home of the free and land of the brave.
I entrusted you with upholding the Constitution. I believed in the checks and balances to keep from getting far off course. What happened? You are very far o ff course. Do you really think I find humor in the hiring of a speed reader to unintelligently ramble all through a bill that you signed into law without knowing what it contained? I do not. It is a mockery of the responsibility I have entrusted to you. It is a slap in the face. I am not laughing at your arrogance. Why is it that I feel as if you would not trust me to make a single decision about my own life and how I would live it but you should expect that I should trust you with the debt that you have laid on all of us and our children. We did not want the TARP bill. We said no. We would repeal it if we could. I am sure that we still cannot. There is such urgency and recklessness in all of the recent spending.
From my perspective, it seems that all of you have gone insane. I also know that I am far from alone in these feelings. Do you honestly feel that your current pursuits have merit to patriotic Americans? We want it to stop. We want to put the brakes on everything that is being rushed by us and forced upon us. We want our voice back. You have forced us to put our lives on hold to straighten out the mess that you are making. We will have to give up our vacations, our time spent with our children, any relaxation time we may have had and money we cannot afford to spend on you to bring our concerns to Washington. Our president often knows all the right buzzword is unsustainable. Well, no kidding. How many tens of thousands of dollars did the focus group cost to come up with that word? We don't want your overpriced words Stop treating us like we're morons.
We want all of you to stop focusing on your reelection and do the job we want done, not the job you want done or the job your party wants done. You work for us and at this rate I guarantee you not for long because we are coming. We will be heard and we will be represented. You think we're so busy with our lives that we will never come for you? We are the formerly silent majority, all of us who quietly work , pay taxes, obey the law, vote, save money, keep our noses to the grindstone and we are now looking up at you. You have awakened us, the patriotic spirit so strong and so powerful that it had been sleeping too long.
You have pushed us too far. Our numbers are great. They may surprise you. For every one of us who will be there, there will be hundreds more that could not come. Unlike you, we have their trust. We will represent them honestly, rest assured. They will be at the polls on voting day to usher you out of office. We have cancelled vacations. We will use our last few dollars saved. We will find the representation among us and a grassroots campaign will flourish. We didn't ask for this fight. But the gloves are coming off. We do not come in violence, but we are angry. You will represent us or you will be replaced with someone who will. There are candidates among us when he will rise like a Phoenix from the ashes that you have made of our constitution.
Democrat, Republican, independent, libertarian. Understand this. We don't care. Political parties are meaningless to us Patriotic Americans are willing to do right by us and our Constitution and that is all that matters to us now. We are going to fire all of you who abuse power and seek more. It is not your power. It is ours and we want it back. We entrusted you with it and you abused it. You are dishonorable. You are dishonest. As Americans we are ashamed of you. You have brought shame to us. If you are not representing the wants and needs of your constituency loudly and consistently, in spite of the objections of your party, you will be fired.
Did you hear? We no longer care about your political parties. You need to be loyal to us, not to them. Because we will get you fired and they will not save you.. If you do or can represent me, my issues, my views, please stand up. Make your identity known. You need to make some noise about it. Speak up. I need to know who you are. If you do not speak up, you will be herded out with the rest of the sheep and we will replace the whole damn congress if need be one by one. We are coming. Are we coming for you? Who do you represent? What do you represent? Listen. Because we are coming. We the people are coming."

Last week, a group of Chicagoans called "We Are Change Chicago" protested the book signing appearance of Climate Crook Al Gore when he showed up at the Borders book store downtown. When Gore arrived at 150 N. State Street to promote the sequel to his "Inconvenient Truth" book, an inconvenient pack of protesters greeted him. They wanted to know what many of us would like ask Gore: Why have you been lying to us about global warming, and in light of "Climategate," why are continuing to promote those lies?
"Swizzle Steve" is one of the organizers of "We Are Change Chicago," and they're making quite a splash. Steve is on Facebook, and We Are Change has a Facebook page too. They even have their own YouTube channel.
WAC Chicago is part of the larger international "We Are Change" group. The Chicagoans have a web site, as does the international group.
WAC describes itself this way:
We Are Change has arisen from the remnants of our republic to fill the vacancy left by those who swore to preserve, protect and defend The Constitution against all enemies – foreign and domestic. We seek to expose the fraud of the left/right paradigm and reveal that the world truly functions on a top/down hierarchy that threatens to destroy free society as we know it. We Are Change claims to be non-partisan, and so far they seem to be living up to that claim. On September 11 they staged a "9/11 Truth Now" event, and back on May 28 they participated in a Truth Squad lecture at the Chicago Theater about Karl Rove, Bush's political brain. Then, of course, the Al Gore protest on November 24, in which Gore was chased out of the store (see our post about that). In addition, the group wants to end the Federal Reserve (see their video), which is a traditonal conservative issue.
Although Liberals will have a hard time believing this, We Are Change is a good fit with the Tea Party movement. Yes, it's probably true that the majority of tea partiers are self-described conservatives. However, it's also true that many of those conservatives are fed up with the Republican Party. Furthermore, the Tea Party movement includes many Democrats and a lot of independents. Many in the Tea Party movement would find something to love about We Are Change, and I suggest that we embrace them in their bold, in-your-face approach to popular dissent. In fact, tea partiers can learn from We Are Change. Does every tea partier agree on every issue with WAC? No, of course not. But then, the Tea Party movement is not homogenous. Some of us, for example, think 9/11 was an inside job, some of us don't. What we need to do is become more familiar with groups like WAC, bring them into the fold without co-opting them, and adopt their tactics.

Update: Whistleblower Got Climategate Emails, Not Hacker
The "Mainstream Media" are collectively ignoring what could be the biggest hoax of a generation - and one of the biggest in history. The recent revelation of hacked researchers' emails shows that they have been falsifying climate data to fit their political agenda for many years. In other words, manmade global warming is fake, a hoax, bogus, a Big Lie. The scandal quickly became known as "climategate." In case you are not familiar with the Climategate Scandal, here is a summary from CivicsNews blogspot:
On Thursday 19th November 2009 news began to circulate that hacked documents and communications from the University of East Anglia’s Hadley Climate Research Unit (aka CRU) had been published to the internet.The information revealed how top scientists conspired to falsify data in the face of declining global temperatures in order to prop up the premise that man-made factors are driving climate change.
Big story, right? Well, sure, unless you're a Liberal editor at a major American news outlet. In that case, your politically-correct duty is to suppress or downplay Climategate. And that's just what is happening. The Church of Global Warming kicked into emergency mode to quickly counter the charges of fraud laid against them.
A web search for "climategate" on Google produces "about 6,680,000" results. By contrast, a Google search for "global warming" (in quotes) produces "about 11,900,000" hits. Keep in mind that the global warming discussion has been around for many years, whereas discussion of "climategate" is less than two weeks old. A blog search on Google for "climategate" produces "about 908,724" hits; a search for "global warming" produces "about 14,240,406" hits. It should be pointed out that virtually all posts and articles about "climategate" refer to "global warming," while the vast majority of items about "global warming" still do not have refer to "climategate," primarily because over 90% of them were written prior to the breaking of the Climategate Scandal.
Chicago News Bench searched a sampling of major mainstream media sites for references to "climategate." We went to their web sites and entered "climategate" into their own internal search functions. All search results are from between Noon and 12:30 p.m., CST on November 29:
Chicago Tribune: "0 results for search term(s): climategate Did you mean climate gate? No Results Found."
Chicago Sun-Times: "You searched for climategate Total found: 0"
New York Times: 49 results (Note that virtually all of those results are stories that attempt to downplay the significance of the Climategate Scandal.)
CBS.com: "Your search for 'climategate' did not match any documents. Please try a different search."
ABC.com: "No results found"
NBC.com: "No matches were found"
San Franciso Chronicle: "Sorry, your search for climategate returned no articles from the past 30 days"
Miami Herald: "We didn't find any Articles containing 'climategate'."
Los Angeles Times: "0 results for search term(s): climategate"
The Guardian (UK): "Sorry, there are no results for your search query, please try another search."
You get the idea. Try you own search for "climategate." Educate yourself. This is a fight for freedom from economic tyranny and a power grab wrapped in the slogan "Save the Planet." You need to know how the power hungry, money hungry Al Gores are trying to fool you.
One item is particularly amusing, in a dark way. The Ecologist (UK) offers an opinion piece dated Nov. 27 titled "Shame on the 'climategate' scientists." Curiously, it acknowledges the fraud wrought by climate researchers, yet maintains that the scandal "should [not] have any real impact on the Copenhagen negotiations, which, even if they succeed, will set targets based on very conservative science at any rate." So... it's fake data, but we should move ahead will globally devastating economic tyranny in the name of bad science anyway? This is typical of the Left's response to Climategate: Either ignore it altogether, or tighten the blindfold and forge on.

"Women can be cruel," writes Emily Miller, "and they often do cruel things to men. Despite their reputation as the fairer sex, when it comes to relationships, sometimes women can be downright nasty."
Well, duh. Every man already knows this, but Miller's column is a good read nonetheless. She has put together a "top 10 list of cruel things women do to men."
To be fair, men can be cruel too. We all have that capacity, but some of us excercise it more than others.
I'd like to see Miller write about women's cruelty to other women, as well as men's cruelty to women, something that many women will freely admit is a problem. Read Miller's column here.

Previously, I've only said nice things about you, Ray, and your scribblings about Orland Park. Like here, for example, and here. Perhaps the Jim Dodge campaign for Illinois State Comptroller has you in their corner, perhaps not. Whoops! That's all there is, because you deleted it, Ray. You wimped out, you lost your nerve. Perhaps, like a girl scorned just before her 8th grad prom, you wrote a wrathful note. Perhaps, like some little girls, you re-read it and decided that maybe you shouldn't send it. Too late, Ray, when you hit "publish" it's out there, baby. Caching is a bitch, and you're cached all over the place. Look, Ray, I understand why the 8th grade girl would be upset and write a poison pen letter to a boy who stood her up on the night of the dance. What I don't understand is why you wrote such a letter, especially considering that you seemed so, well, reliable and trustworthy and rational. I guess I misjudged you, Ray.
Your rationality is in question, your judgment now seems clouded. The only logical reason I can imagine is that you've been bought off by the Jim Dodge - Jack Roeser Axis of Evil. I mean, WTF, Ray, what does that mean? You say that ads are annoying? YOU have ads on YOUR web sites, Ray, but unlike me, you stick them between posts (see images here; click to enlarge). You don't like a blog that is "tagged with annoying ads?" I challenge you, then, to remove all of the advertising from all of your web sites. I wonder if your sponsors know that you consider ads to be "annoying."By the way, what the heck does the phrase "tagged to with ... ads" mean, anyway?

Nobody's asked you to apologize, Ray. As I noted above, I praised you at least once for your reporting of the mismanagement of Orland Park. You continued:

See, here's where you really hang yourself, Ray. First, you refer to your own reporting as "remarks," and I gotta tell ya Ray, you do yourself a disservice in that. That said, when I quoted you on November 19 in my post "Jim Dodge's Political Donations Show He's a Fake Republican," I took a full paragraph from you. That's hardly "out of context," Ray. That paragraph, which you wrote in February, 2009, is reproduced here (emphasis added):
Orland Park has raised its property taxes and even gerrymandered the "fiscal year" from 12 to 15 months because they couldn't meet their expenses. They said they were changing the fiscal year in order to re-align it with the annual calendar. But many suspect the real reason is they just don't have the funds to pay all the bills in the 12 month budget and use a cute trick to turn the budget period to 15 months to cover 12 months of expenses. It's typical bad management to delay troubles until after the election April 7, 2009.
Please enlighten us, Ray: Which part of that paragraph is not self-representative or misleading? Which part of it is an out-of-context bit that was twisted? It's a straightforward quote of your own writing, Ray. Just because Jim Dodge has long been one of the incompetent tricksters on the Orland Park village board is something that I had no part in arranging. To chastise me for accurately quoting your accurate report is, for lack of a better term, bizarre. Ray, Ray, Ray.... were you drinking when you wrote that? Were you exhausted? Cranky? Distracted?
Did I use your report to "attack Jim Dodge?" Mea culpa, Ray. You should have been flattered that someone, even I, felt that your report was good enough to quote as supporting evidence. But, Ray, are you now willing to admit that you are in Dodge's camp, that you've thrown away all pretense of objectivity? You say you are objective, Ray? Then explain your gushing endorsement of Jim Dodge: http://orlandparker.blogspot.com/2009/08/scoop-jim-dodge-will-announce-for.html from August 10, 2009.
As for me, Ray, I'm bulletproof. See, the big red banner at the top left of Chicago News Bench says, very plainly, that my blog is about "Conservative Commentary." I am what I am, Ray, and I don't pretend to anything else. What's your story, Ray? And why should your readers continue their mistaken belief that you're all about objective truth telling? You've shown yourself to be a spiteful, arrogant, biased and bitter little man who can't even write a bitter and unprovoked attack on another blogger with enough conviction to not delete it in a frightened haste.
Perhaps this is not so disappointing. Perhaps I should be happy that someone as sloppy as you is on RINO Jim Dodge's side. How glad I am that you exposed yourself, albeit for one cowardly moment. It was a moment to remember.

Here are a couple of reports (below) of how some folks in Chicago responded on Tuesday, Nov. 24 to Gore's brazen perpetuation of what he knows to be false. (We were the first to give you a heads up about this event.) We wondered on Tuesday whether Gore would be apologetic for the massive fraud that he and others have been perpetrating on the world for years now, especially in light of last week's revelation of emails that show that climate data was deliberately manipulated and falsified. Predictably, he was not. Prediction: Gore will continue to see increasingly large protests, like that in Chicago, as he continues to promote one of the biggest and most cynical hoaxes in human history.

"Barack Obama has a truckload of problems on his hands,"wrote Anthony G. Martin at Examiner.com. "He has enacted policies that fit the description of impeachable offenses. He can be thankful that Congress is controlled by his partners-in-crime, or else he would be facing serious charges."
NOTE: This is one of those long posts that most of you will not read. I don't care; as a blogger, I often write for myself with the always-open invitation for you to peek into my journal. This post is meant as reference, my own primarily, but you are welcome to chew on it.
If you are concerned about the immense damage that Barack Obama has already done and continues to do to the U.S., then please read on. The main thrust of this post is plain: Barack Obama has commited acts that could be - probably should be - considered as treasonous. If the subject of your President waging economic war on our 50 states, giving Aid and Comfort to our Enemies and working to harm this nation does not interest you, then you probably found this blog by mistake. This post is not meant to be comprehensive, but a primer. There are already books on the subject of Obama's questionable loyalty, and there will be hundreds more written in the future. Students a century from now will read about the president who tried to destroy the nation with his marxist agenda.
You know the enemy. The enemy wants to kill us or to destroy our economy and society.
The enemy drove two airplanes in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. The enemy recently went on a killing spree at Fort Hood, Texas. The enemy is among us, operating a filthy meat market on Devon Avenue on Chicago's north side, consipiring with others to blow up Danish newspapers, among other terrorist acts. The enemy advertises his intentions with videos carried by donkeys through the mountains of Pakistan. The enemy is, in effect and by proxy, by intent and by unintended consequences, occupying the White House, blinded by his hateful obsession with Tea Parties and other distractions.
Obama’s problem is that he does not know who the enemy is. To him, the enemy does not squat in caves in Waziristan, clutching automatic weapons and reciting the more militant verses from the Koran: instead, it sits around at tea parties in Kentucky quoting from the US Constitution. Obama is not at war with terrorists, but with his Republican fellow citizens. He has never abandoned the campaign trail. (Emphasis added)
That passage is by Gerald Warner at the Telegraph UK. Warner hits Obama hard for being an indecisive wimp in his column from April 24, 2009. Although Warner's column is now seven months old, it is as fresh today as it was when he wrote it. Obama's ongoing war with FoxNews and conservative talk radio hosts is not just embarrassing, it's dangerous. The Commander in Chief is allowing himself to be distracted by partisan bullshit, all the while deferring time sensitive decisions about increasing troop strength in Afghanistan and other hot issues. Another excerpt (emphasis added):
If al-Qaeda, the Taliban and the rest .... want to kick America to death, they had better move in quickly and grab a piece of the action before Barack Obama finishes the job himself. Never in the history of the United States has a president worked so actively against the interests of his own people – not even Jimmy Carter.
Warner's main beef is Obama's disrespect of CIA (emphasis added):
He cynically subordinated the national interest to his partisan desire to embarrass the Republicans. Then he had to rush to Langley, Virginia to try to reassure a demoralised CIA that had just discovered the President of the United States was an even more formidable foe than al-Qaeda.
Warner, a Brit, poses a question that so many Americans are asking:
President Pantywaist’s recent world tour, cosying up to all the bad guys, excited the ambitions of America’s enemies. Here, they realised, is a sucker they can really take to the cleaners. His only enemies are fellow Americans. Which prompts the question: why does President Pantywaist hate America so badly?
I would stop just short of accusing Obama of actual treason, but he's pushing it. Treason, by definition in the Constitution, is defined simply in the U.S. Constitution, Article 3, Section 3:
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.Let's break it down: (1) Obama and his Administration are levying war against the states; (2) Obama has adhered to our Enemies; (3) Obama has given our Enemies both Aid and Comfort; (4) There are billions of witnesses, not merely two, to Obama's overt Acts; (5) There has not (yet) been a Confession in open Court, but that's being worked on. So, then, Obama's Acts of Treason, point by point:
(1) LEVYING WAR AGAINST THE STATE: Obama's war on the 50 states is not being waged with guns or bombs, but with more and more controls that violate the states' Tenth Amendment rights. It's gotten so bad that there is a very active movement to fight the Obama power grab.
The Tenth Amendment to the Constitution is very clear: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” In other words, the Federal Government should not meddle in affairs that the Constitution says are completely in the hands of state legislatures, not in the hands of the U.S. Congress nor of the President. The movement I referred to above is called, simply, the Tenth Amendment Movement. Writer James Perloff explains (all emphasis added):
... a new campaign called the Tenth Amendment Movement is now sweeping state legislatures across the nation. This is not an effort by the states to secede from the Union, but an attempt to persuade the federal government to abide by the Constitution.
Leading the charge is Oklahoma. On February 18, its House of Representatives passed House Joint Resolution 1003 by a vote of 83 to 13, resolving “that the State of Oklahoma hereby claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States.” HJR 1003 also states “that this serves as Notice and Demand to the federal government, as our agent, to cease and desist, effective immediately, mandates that are beyond the scope of these constitutionally delegated powers.” It directs that copies of the resolution be distributed to, among others, the president of the United States, the president of the U.S. Senate, and the speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Sound familiar? It should, if you know your history. It recalls nothing less than the Declaration of Independence, unanimously signed by the Continental Congress of the thirteen united States of America on July 4, 1776. The first paragraph of that document says this:
When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
Although Oklahoma and other states are not moving to "dissolve the political bands which have connected them" with the Federal Government, those states are demanding that the Federal Government, lead by Obama, respect their rights as provided by the Constitution. The reason for the demand is simple: The Obama Administration has been waging a war of economics and law against the states.
Gene Healy of the CATO Institute wrote this about that on November 17, 2009:
Not yet a year into his administration, Obama’s record on 10th Amendment issues is already clear: He’ll let the states have their way when their policies please blue team sensibilities and he’ll call in the feds when they don’t. Thus, he’ll grant California a waiver to allow it to raise auto emissions standards, but he’ll bring the hammer down when the state tries to cut payments to unionized health care workers. That’s not how it’s supposed to work. As Madison explained in Federalist 45, the powers delegated to the federal government were “few and defined,” to be exercised mainly on “external objects” like foreign policy and international trade. All else — criminal law, marriage, social policy — remained with the states or the people.
Another complaint, quoted from the Declaration of Independence, is appropriate today and applies as well to Obama in 2009 as it did to King George in 1776: "He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance."
(2) Obama has adhered to our Enemies: Kind words and overly generous tolerance of Fidel Castro, Mahmoud Ahmedinejad and others, including the enemies of democracy in Honduras such as Hugo Chavez. High-level advisors who openly admit their admiration for Mao Tse Tung, who died a sworn enemy of the West. I refer you to this short but excellent post. (For background, read this.) And we should not forget Obama's historic embracing of homegrown enemies of the United States, most notably but not exclusively, bomber-terrorist and close friend William Ayers.
(3) Obama has given our Enemies both Aid and Comfort: On November 20, 2009 House Republican leaders sent a letter to Barack Obama. It said, in part, "For over two months you have been engaged in a strategy review that has left the country, our military, and allies uncertain about your commitment to the war in Afghanistan and unsure about your will to do what is necessary to win this conflict. Worse, we fear the process has emboldened our enemies." That letter urged Obama to act on Gen. Stanley McChrystal's request for more U.S. troops in Afghanistan. Every hour that Obama fails to act provides more Aid and Comfort to the Taliban.
Additionally, Obama and his marxist circle believe that it's better to engage those sworn to our destruction in conversation that to engage then in battle or tough negotiation. More Aid and Comfort. "Aid" is not defined by the Constitution, so it's meaning could be broadly interpreted. Emotional and psychological encouragement is certainly a form of "Aid," and certainly provides our enemies with "Comfort," which is also left undefined.
(4) There are billions of witnesses, not merely two, to Obama's overt Acts as described above.
As I said earlier, this is not intended to be a comprehensive listing of Obama's disturbing acts. It merely scratches the surface.

Crime is down in Rogers Park, Chicago? Well, well, it's UP at the 49th Ward Democrat Party offices, at W. Greenleaf and N. Ravenswood. (Click our file photos to enlarge)
ROGERS PARK (STNG) -- Police Thursday are investigating the break-in and theft of a computer from a political campaign office on the Far North Side. The ward's committeeman doubts the break-in was political in nature, though.About 7:20 a.m. police got a call that a door was open at the office on the 1700 block of West Greenleaf, police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez said. The 49th Ward Democratic Party campaign office is at 1774 W. Greenleaf Ave., according to 49th Ward Democratic Committeeman David Fagus. Full Story at WBBM AM...
WBBM also reported that "The office is used mainly by Ald. Joe Moore, Fagus said, and the group Organizing for America, a national Democratic group, also uses the space." Funny that WBBM doesn't know that the office space is also used by Congressthing Jan Schakowsky and Crook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin (13th District).
It is darkly amusing that Blagojevich fan David Fagus doubts that the burglary was political in nature. Now, really, who would break in to that office for political reasons? Hmmm? I wonder how long it will be before Moore blames the bloggers for this. (I've got an airtight alibi.)

The current "Climategate" scandal broke about a week ago, but back in 2007 a documentary was already ringing the warning bells. S. Fred Singer, a scientist himself, wrote this shortly after the release of "The Great Global Warming Scandal": "Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth has met its match: a devastating documentary recently shown on British television, which has now been viewed by millions of people on the Internet. Despite its flamboyant title, The Great Global Warming Swindle is based on sound science and interviews with real climate scientists, including me. An Inconvenient Truth, on the other hand, is mostly an emotional presentation from a single politician."

Some of the world's leading climate scientists have been embarrassed by the publication of hundreds of private emails & research documents, stolen by computer hackers from a British university. Climate change skeptics have hailed the material as proof that research data has been skewed and suppressed.
This is important information because the Copenhagen Treaty is about organising to bring in global governance and global carbon taxes using "climate change" as the vehicle. If this turns out to be a "climategate", the hoax of global warming is brought to public light.
