CENTURY THEATRE GETS CONSTRUCTION PERMIT

Morse Avenue got a big shot in the arm today.

Andrew McGhee announced today that the construction permit for The Morse Theatre and the Century Public House has been granted. McGhee is a partner in the project and a longtime resident of Rogers Park.

The project is ready to move ahead now, full speed, toward completion in the Spring of 2008.

There has already been a lot of excitement for this major project. The buzz in Rogers Park is already strong, nearly a year before the reality. The 49th Ward has been hungry for a project like this one, which will be a tremendous anchor for Morse Avenue. Thanks to the tenacity of Mr. McGhee and his partners, and the growing strength of the private sector in Rogers Park, this incredible landmark project will become a reality.

We congratulate Mr. McGhee and his partners. This is a huge step forward for Rogers Park.
